Kerry O'Shea is Public Affairs Manager for the Law Institute of Victoria (LIV). The LIV has approximately 15,000 members and is a leader in the legal profession with its use of social media. Kerry was actively involved in development of the LIV's social media policy, and roll out of the President's blog, Twitter, LinkedIn groups and Facebook for young lawyers. She has a particular interest in social media in the law, including its application in our courts. Kerry has worked in communications in the legal profession for many years, including with the Legal Services Commission and Legal Services Board, at Maurice Blackburn and as an adviser to the Victorian Attorney General. She spent several years with the Premier's Media Unit and has a Certificate in Public Relations from New York University. As a journalist she worked for the Australian Financial Review and she began her career on the Melbourne Sun News Pictorial. She enjoyed her time as a court reporter in the days when you filed copy from a public phone box to a copy-taker at the Herald. She has a BA (Journalism) from RMIT. Kerry tweets at @KAOSVIC
