Cate Kennedy

Cate Kennedy
Cate Kennedy lives in rural Victoria where she works as a writer and editor.

She has written two collections of poetry – another one soon-to-be-published – as well as a travel memoir about her time living and working in Mexico, Sing and Don't Cry: a Mexican journal. Her debut short story collection, Dark Roots, was published in 2006.

Cate's most recent work, the novel The World Beneath, was published in 2009 and awarded the People's Choice Prize in the NSW Premier's Literary Awards this year, as well as being shortlisted for the Australian Literature Society Gold Medal and Australian Book Industry Awards Best Literary Fiction Book of the Year for 2010.
