Don Walker

Don Walker
Don Walker’s songs have been mapping Australia, from Kings Cross to ‘regional towns — maybe the race-track end of things — and the spaces between’, for thirty years, through solo albums and shows, a couple of albums with Tex, Don and Charlie and back to his youth as a member of Cold Chisel.

Along the way he has written songs for Slim Dusty, Jeff Lang, Mick Harvey, Troy Cassar-Daley, Jimmy Little, Jimmy Barnes, Ian Moss, Anne Kirkpatric and many others.

Don’s most recent solo album, Cutting Back, was released by Warners in 2006. Shots, his first book, was released by Black Inc. in early 2009.

"Former Cold Chisel keyboardist and song writer Don Walker's first book, Shots, rings out like a whip crack across a landscape of rural Australia, lonely highways and endless gigs."
