Heidi Julavits

Heidi Julavits
Heidi Julavits is the author of three novels: The Mineral Palace, The Effect of Living Backwards, and The Uses of Enchantment, as well as a collaborative book, Hotel Andromeda, with the artist Jenny Gage.

Her fiction has appeared in Esquire, Harper's, McSweeney's and The Best American Short Stories among other places. Her non-fiction has appeared in The New York Times, Vogue, Men's Journal, The Best American Travel Writing and elsewhere. She is the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship and a founding editor of The Believer magazine. She lives in Manhattan and Maine.
