John Pilger
John Pilger was voted fourth behind Aung San Suu Kyi and Nelson Mandela in a New Statesman survey searching for the 50 heroes of our time. He is a renowned investigative journalist and documentary film-maker and is one of only two to have twice won Britainís top journalism award. His documentaries have won academy awards in both the UK and the US. He began his career in his homeland, Australia, in 1958 moving to the UK in the 1960s.
