Bill Kent

Bill Kent has lived and travelled in Italy for long periods over some forty years, and has tried to persuade generations of Monash students to share his love of the Italian Renaissance and its culture. He was founding director of the Monash University Prato Centre, and is a widely published specialist in the cultural and social history of late medieval and Renaissance Italy.

He is general editor of the critical edition of Lorenzo de’ Medici’s letters. In 2004 he published Lorenzo de’ Medici and the Art of Magnificence (John Hopkins University Press).
