Dmetri Kakmi

Dmetri Kakmi
Dmetri Kakmi was born in Turkey to Greek parents. His reviews and essays on film, literature and cultural issues have appeared in publications around the world. He lives in Melbourne, where he works as senior editor at Penguin Books.

He is the compiler and editor of the celebrated children’s anthology When We Were Young, published by Penguin in 2007. His first book, Mother Land, was the co-recipient of the 2007 Peter Blazey Fellowship, awarded by the Centre for Australian Studies, University of Melbourne.
