Susan Johnson

Susan Johnson
Susan Johnson grew up in Australia, and is based in London. She is the author of six novels and her memoir A Better Woman was published in Australia, UK, USA and Europe. Her books include Messages from Chaos, Flying Lessons, A Big Life and Hungry Ghosts.

Susan edited the anthologies Latitudes: New Writing from the North, and Women Love Sex. Her novel, The Broken Book, based loosely on the Australian writer’s life, Charmian Clift, was long-listed for the Miles Franklin Award and short-listed for the: Commonwealth Writers’ Prize, ALS Gold Medal, Queensland Premiers’ Prize and Nita B Kibble Award.
