Xavier-Marie Bonnot was born in Marseille. He has a PhD in History and Sociology, a Master's in History and a Master in French Literature. He is married with 3 children and lives in Paris. He has written four novels, translated in Italian (Einaudi), German (Hanser) and in English (Quercus Books). The First Fingerprint, which has won two literary awards in France, is still the talk of the town in La Capelette, where Le Baron, the hero of Xavier's novel, was born.
