Max Allen has been writing about wine in Australia for fifteen years. He edits and contributes to magazines in Australia, the UK and the USA, and publishes a critical online guide to biodynamic Australia wines.
Max’s first book, Red and White: Wine Made Simple, won the 1999 Andre Simon Memorial Award.
Max also won the 2003 International Wine and Spirit Competition Wine Communicator of the Year Trophy.
HIs new book, Terra Australis – The New Australian Wine Tradition chronicles Australian winemakers putting the soul back into wine (Hardie Grant Books, November 2008).
